Every Day Matters
This is the new trademarked tag for JCPenny. I love it. I think I may have to steal it every now and then. Because every day does matter. Regardless of how bad the day has been, there is always something that matters.
For example, last Thursday:
All around crappy day. But in the end, I learned why being connected with Christian friends matters. They showed me love and support like I've never seen. This made the day matter more than any good day I had last week.
...how did yesterday matter to me:
Because I didn't get the stuff done in the evening that I needed to do (I chose to watch Dancing with the Stars instead) I now have to play catch up today.
But more than that...I just enjoyed time alone with my husband. Sitting on the couch, watching TV, talking, laughing. That made the day matter. Because when life gets crazy it's important to remember what truly matters-what is really important. For me, it's not the emails that need to be sent, the work in the SB room thats screaming to be done, the dirty dishes in the sink, or the questions that heavy my heart--it's the every day moments that I love. The ones that are so easy to take for granted. The moments that keep us going, that give us hope, and show us the beauty of God's love for us.
How has today (or yesterday) mattered to you?
(I've tried to make it easier to leave comments on the blog-let me know if you still have trouble)
